This was an abosulutely fun project to shoot. It was my first documentary. The film won Best Docoumentary at the Film Outside the Frame Festival 2007. The shoot consisted of two long weekends in Tucson, Arizona to document the director's hometown and her family's business. It was a very small crew that consisted of me (camera), the director and the sound person. The interviews were shot in a hotel room, the work office and the aunt's home. This proved challenging only because we had no crew. The director and I would set up lights while the sound person prepped and slept. The version above is a rough edit by the director; it is being recut and color corrected by me this winter.
