After Genesis - Director/Editor

The only film I have directed. The white room was a particular challenge. My DP and I did a lot of testing beforehand to make sure the words printed out on paper would blend into the white void. The void ended up being constucted of huge rolls of paper. Painting and seaming and adding a cyclone to a normal set was going to take too much time so I bought out a paper store's white rolls of paper. The rolls were 12 feet wide. It worked out great and allowed the set to have no visible seams. I wanted my film to be an opportunity for people to try new roles and to move up in positions. I am proud to say I gave other students that opportunity while not jeapordizing the quality of film in the process.
